This can happen when you use a different email address that is not the email address for your current membership account during your purchase. As an example, your membership account uses your school email, but during your purchase, you gave your personal email address.
When you made your purchase you should have received an email with your new License Key and instructions on how to apply that key to your account. If you don't see it, check your SPAM folder.
Updating your account for a renewal is easy. After you log in just do the below with the License Key that you received.

- Click Display Name
- Click View Profile
- Click Redeem License
- Enter License
- Click Apply
